Gullible Warming, ecology and conservation

Gullible Warming

The scientific proof behind global warming is total crap and any open minded, intelligent person with a reasonable education in science can tell you that.

The theory behind global warming makes sense.

So what is the problem? The problem is propaganda and the gullibility of the average person. Some charismatic nut job like Al Gore runs around and tells everyone the world is ending and people get scared enough to do anything. The next thing you know the world does not end and people ask why.

In thirty years ecologists and conservationists like me will be lumped in with the nut jobs who claimed everyone would need a gas mask by 1990 and we would have another ice age by 2012.

These fricking morons who ride mountain bikes with ?Fight Global Warming? tee shirts and leave their pedal reflectors and water bottles all over the back country for guys like me to clean up are destroying conservation and ecology.

The 2nd law of thermodynamics states that every change in energy creates some heat which is lost to the surrounding environment. Essentially this is the law that prevents perpetual motion.

Flip a bicycle upside down and spin a wheel. It will stop sooner or later. If the bike is well tuned the wheel will take longer to stop because less energy is lost on each revolution. If the bike sucks the wheel will stop quickly. This is called ENTROPY and it is the reasonable theory behind global warming.

Essentially most of our energy conversion devices (gasoline engines, electric motors, etc) waste some energy when we use them. Cars waste about 70% of the energy we put in them. Some things only waste 10%. On average we waste about 50% of the energy we use to ?heat?.

The heat has to go somewhere, into the air, into the water, somewhere.

The more people, the more energy we use, the more heat we generate and the more heat builds up.

So far, this all makes sense.

The problem is when you include climate change. There is not enough data to say that climate change will occur because of waste heat. It makes sense that we should consider the possibility, but, to claim that we will have another ice age in a couple of years is really stupid.

That makes guys like me who want to work on making energy more efficient and the world cleaner look stupid when the world does not end.

I want to see our use of energy approach 95%. I want to see the world reduce pollution. Not because a bunch of morons are afraid the world will end, but, because we all need to work to make the world a better place.

Why I hate Democrats

I hate the Democratic Party. Aside from it's past genocide and current popular status as the party of the people the Democrats are an elitist, bigoted political party determined to create a two class society of "have" and "have nots".

Obama comes into office and cuts spending on AIDS in Africa in half, then his administration creates a fantasy budget and a 787 billion dollar stimulus bill on top the the money President Bush had already spent. That bill pushed the deficit to 85% for this year and insured that our deficit would grow exponentially over the next few years as we tried to pay interest on the deficit.

Just what did Obama do with that stimulus money?

Create Jobs? Nope, he paid back the rich people who voted for him. Check out this link at George Mason University:

http://mercatus.org/publication/stimulusfacts

Obama and the entire Democratic party disgusts me.

The Blind Side

If you like tear jerkers and good movies you will probably want to go see the Blind Side.

Usually the Hollywood propaganda machine does a really crappy job of addressing social issues. Having grown up as the child of a single mother in a lower income "cardboard village" Hollywood usually does little more than piss me off.

This movie was not as bad as I anticipated. In fact the culture shock between the haves and have-nots was pretty well documented. My Grandfather was in Mahogany Row at Chrysler, General Manager of Marketing and he owned an island so as a child I had a similar cultural issue of floating between poor and "rich".

The movie gives Liberal Democrats another reason to hate Republican Christians, it infers that the only reason the family helped "Big Mike" was to get a great athlete for their alma mater. Horse crap, if you are looking for a selfish reason for the family to help Big Mike it is more likely that the youngest kid was being picked on and befriended Big Mike as a way to keep the bullies away, but, that isn't inferred in the movie.

I think it most likely that the family saw the problem and since the mother was a charitable problem solver she just wanted to solve Micheal's problems.

Watch the movie, it is worth the money to see it in the theater.

Sunday, December 13, 2009

I was just watching an episode of "Law and Order, Special Victims Unit" about a far left lawyer defending a child killer that was supposedly "brain washed by a nut case talk show host.

The show was really about propaganda and the way it effects people. The reality is that the show itself was a huge propaganda mess, in fact shows like this are far more dangerous propaganda than talk show hosts.

Fictional shows deliberately use emotional situations to propagate their ideology.

In this show a racist killed a bunch of children because their parents were immigrants. The racist claimed he was brainwashed by a talk show host and a nut case lawyer agreed with and defended him.

The problem is most people are not intelligent enough to separate facts from theory. When I mean most people, I mean 99.9% of people.

Global Warming? Climate Change? These are theories developed to scare people and they are based on the law of entropy. Essentially any time energy changes form, for example sun light moves through an atmosphere, some of that energy is lost in heat.

Eventually everything "burns out", in the big picture this is related to the Big Bang theory.

Do most people realize this? No, they just get frightened by the idea of climate change which will occur. Period. Sooner or later the climate will change.

What scares me about crap like global warming is that when it turns out that the world does not end in 2012 or 2020 or whenever the morons claim it will end people will get disgusted with conservation and ecology. People will put less time into these things and we will eventually bury ourselves in pollution.

Popular television shows, games, novels, popular entertainment, these are the most dangerous tools of propaganda.

The problem is that people react emotionally and not intellectually and even those who react intellectually do not have the capacity to see the larger picture.

Global Warming is a safe bet. The "Law", it is really a theory with so much experimental evidence that the probability of accuracy is so high there is almost no doubt, of Entropy demands it.

When will global warming happen?

No one knows, we only know that eventually the world, all worlds, will burn out. The only unknown is the exact time line and we don't know that because we have not been able to either accurately model or observe that.

How do I know we can't accurately model global warming and climate change? Because we can't predict weather yet.

Essentially the math becomes very involved at this point and it deals with cycles and statistics.

Math models used for predictions require a significant amount of data to be accurate.

In the end we just do not have enough data to make the kind of accurate prediction that global warming fanatics claim they have.

The science behind global warming claims the world is billions of years old and we have about 30 years of well documented, accurate global climate data. We have less well documented, less accurate data for maybe a hundred more years.

To get one tenth of a percent of the available data we would need tens of millions of years of data.

Truthfully, the predictions made by global warming nuts are less accurate than if you filled a mason jar with marbles, then guesstimated the volume of the moon and decided the moon would hold exactly this many marbles.

Not enough data.

Global warming will happen. Climate change will happen. Entropy demands it, but, claiming we can stop entropy, or even speed up or slow down entropy is ridiculous, until we have the data.

Global warming is based on the idea that humans are increasing energy. Nuts guesstimate entropy, factor in guesstimates of human energy and make guesses about how much that will increase entropy and how much that entropy will effect climate change.
Then they propagandize their results and the next thing you know we have crap science and popular entertainment mis-educating people about issues.

Global Warming is such crap science it is easy to discredit.

Racism and politics are not so easily discredited because they are less scientific and propaganda is a much more effective tool in spreading emotional ideologies.

If global warming nuts explained that climate change is inevitable and that data suggests people might be encouraging it the world might be different.

Instead emotional arguments for science are used. People are frightened and emotional arguments are used. It is ridiculous and it is even more difficult when we deal with less scientific issues.

In the end propaganda spreaders are the problem, not the solution and they will continue to make the world a worse place until people become more educated but that can't happen until propagandists stop wanting to mis-educate people.

How likely is that?

MafiaWars Clans and gangs of bullies like [NYC]

I play an online game called MafiaWars. Some people take it way to serious and group together in gangs to terrorize other players. Some people group into clans to protect themselves against the bullies. People like me refuse to be intimidated and we just play the game for fun.

Since I have a mafia of 1400 sooner or later I had to run into a gang of bullies and this weekend I did. This group is called [NYC] and they claim to have a set of ethics, which they don't follow. This keeps the rest of the clans off of their back since they only gang up on independents.

MafiaWars is a game, but, these people play it like their lives depend on it and I would bet that for a lot of them it does.

Sad, I know. There will always be bullies in this world and we should identify them and work with them to change their behavior. When that does not work we have prisons and execution in real life. In the game world those things don't exist so people allow their inner feelings to take over and they become the people they would be in real life.

Some people are generous and protective. Some are vindictive and mean. Some people allow themselves to get frustrated and become vindictive and mean, these people get over themselves and come to their senses.

Not [NYC] though. I messaged 7 players and of those 7, 4 were just reasonable people and 3 were vindictive bullies. Any group with that many vindictive bullies is out of control.

Is there anything anyone can do about it? Not really, nor would I want to.

Ever watch Bones?

Many years ago I worked with a group using computers to build psych profile models from social groups. This was before AOL, but, you can bet onLine communities were recognized early for this potential.

I would bet that there are groups that pay money to monitor interactions on websites like Facebook and MySpace specifically to help develop personality profiling. These websites offer tons of objective statistical data on people and by monitoring the behavior of the people who use these games. Plenty of Universities would pay money for that data and since Facebook in particular was developed for university students.......

You get the idea. Having these games in places where behavior can be studied and personality profiles can be developed is useful. Putting too tight a rein on these games would result in more guarded playing and less useful objective data.

Someday our onLine game playing will help behaviorists identify individuals who are ready to go postal and get them help before they do something horrible.

I am glad to be a part of that. My play is boring, but, it helps build the profile that will eventually identify the real nut cases out there, people like those in [NYC].

Anthropological studies for the new millennium.

Changing the face of reality

Over the last several hundred years people have become more and more dependent on the fantasies created by other people than their own fantasies.

For thousands of years people had limited communication and very limited potential to change economic class. Essentially you could be a serf, a soldier or if you were very lucky you could join a religious order.

People attracted to the academic life would be attracted to the priesthood. People attracted to labor became serfs and people attracted to the potential for material success joined military forces.

There were always plenty of ways to combine these various choices, religious military orders for example.

The one constant was that people typically were forced to create their own fantasy lives from their own experiences.

Today we have such a wide variety of international communication systems that we often use to live in fantasy worlds, computer games, books, movies, television, etc, that our imaginations are becoming dependent on the fantasies of others.

Take the time to create your own fantasies. Use your imagination. Do not rely on the imagination of others.

Censorship, fascism and Microsoft

I would make fascism illegal, which I know is fascist in itself.

More than anything, it was restrictions on the free flow of information that caused the dark ages. Blame it on middle class guilds or blame it on the church, the lack of the exchange of information caused a technological stagnancy that seriously impeded the development of Western Europe forcing millions to live in poverty for centuries.

I have no use for censors, closed source or the deliberate invasion of personal privacy to improve the profitability of a corporation based on some arbitrary concept of "fairness".

There will always be bullies who will force people into their mold or reality. "If you don't play my way I will take my toys away and make you miserable." Spoiled brats with no real concept of "fairness" telling everyone else what their concept of "fairness" is and doing everything they can to force other people into that concept.

Hitler and the NAZI party had their idea of fairness which is why they started WW2.

What people don't know is that WW2 started because France had a different idea of fairness that conflicted with the German idea of fairness which is why Germany started WW2. People focus on the holocaust instead of looking at the underlying economic and political causes of Nazism and WW2.

Rome had the same issues. They imposed their idea of fairness on the western world and not everyone agreed with Rome. As long as Rome had the muscle to impose that concept of fairness they did.

Some people will say that the US war in Afghanistan and Iraq is fought in that same ideology. It isn't. The United States is not trying to censor Islam or force people to pay tribute. The United States just does not want people to come and kill people in the United States. If nations are going to support that idea and make threats to do that, the United States is going to stop them. Then the US will go home, like they always do and wait until the next moron comes along and blows something up.

Truthfully the United States just wants what everyone else wants, a peaceful life with a "good" standard of living. The US does not just want that for themselves the way Rome or NAZI Germany did, the US would like that for everyone.

To get to that point you need to have acceptance and the free exchange of information.

Essentially to have a peaceful, "good" standard of living you need civil rights and freedom of speech. People need to be able to accept each other when they have stupid ideas, as long as those ideas are not imposed on others, and they need to exchange information freely.

It is the acceptability of the free and open exchange of information that makes the world peaceful and improves the standard of living world wide. Period.

Everyone's idea of "good" or "improving a standard of living" is different and that is great.

When corporations like Microsoft impose their ideology of fairness on people, when they invade people's privacy to improve their profitability, the world is being forced into a new "dark ages" where civil rights and the free exchange of information are discouraged.

I would go after Microsoft the same way the US government went after Afghanistan and Iraq, and for the exact same reasons.

Microsoft Violates Customer Privacy

Microsoft has violated customer privacy once again by disconnecting gamers who are using modified systems from Xbox Live.

According to Microsoft a small percentage of people have violated terms of service by modifying their Xbox systems. How does Microsoft know this?

When one computer connects with another computer information is exchanged. In this case Microsoft has used their proprietary closed source technology to access information from customers computer systems without the customer understanding what information they were releasing.

This is a common issue. Most people are not aware of the breadth of information they are agreeing to release when they press the agree button on a a software license. Microsoft will argue that non-programmers/lawyers should fully understand the technical small print.

In the end Microsoft's argument does not matter. The User agreement does not matter. Microsoft used their proprietary, closed source technology to access specific data from users that did not want to share that specific information with Microsoft.

Brady Campaign against Guns today came out against arming soldiers

The Brady campaign to disarm US citizens has stepped up it's campaign to eliminate firearms from the hands of all law abiding citizens by attacking the right of the US military to keep and bear arms.

Recently a Muslim Jihadist who was also a Major in the United States Army was sent to an Army Readiness Facility at Fort Hood Texas as part of preparations for being stationed in Afghanistan.

Army Readiness facilities are mental health evaluation centers where soldiers suspected of having personality disorders are sent for evaluation before being stationed in a combat zone.

During his evaluation for mental illness the Jihadist went postal and began shooting other soldiers that were also being evaluated for their mental stability.

"The access to firearms obviously drove this poor, mentally deranged, psychiatrist insane" a crying Brady supporter exclaimed.

The Anti-Constitutional Brady Campaign believes that by disarming soldiers the world will become a much safer place.

"If no one had guns everyone would be happy!" a spokesman for the Brady Campaign to Dismantle Constitutional Rights explained.

When asked about people using cars, airplanes, knives, pencils and even toilets as weapons the spokesman told the crowd "We will just have to ban those too!"

The International Drug War has been created by greedy fascists

There are some people who just want to force others to live the way they think is right. You know the morons. The people who cut others off on the freeway to make them drive slower. The picketers outside abortion clinics. The people who lynched blacks from street lamps in New York City to protest the emancipation proclamation. They think of themselves as protesters trying to make the world better but they are just greedy fascists shoving their agenda down everyone else's throats.

The United States is doing that on an international scale by forcing recreational usage drug laws down everyone elses throat.

This fascism is creating an international drug war that is very similar to the prohibition violence the United States saw in the late 1920's and Early 1930's.

As a nation we need to quit forcing our values down everyone elses throat.

Legalization, regulation and taxation will destroy these markets that criminalization has caused to thrive.

Create taxable jobs and taxable profits the way casinos have. Yes, some people are going to become alcoholics, nicotine addicts, fast food addicts, gamblers and recreational drug users.

People are already all of these things and these people have been placed in even more danger because the drug trade is unregulated and violent.

Our first responders are being killed policing the unregulated recreational drug trade. Innocent people are being killed. None of this is recoverable. Ever.

We can recover some money from this disaster. We can quit pouring money into a bottomless pit and we can begin extracting money from the drug trade in the form of fees and taxes.

Want to end the deficit? Legalize, regulate and tax recreational drug use.

Want to help more cops stay alive longer? Want to create jobs? Want to pay for a national health care plan? Want to force criminals into poverty?

Legalize, regulate and tax recreational drug use.

Adultery In the Bible

In Deuteronomy chapter 22 the Bible spells out very clear punishments for adulterers.

There is a problem with that.

Deuteronomy 17:6

You need at least two direct eye witnesses to an event before you can put someone to death.

Typically this means the couple who committed adultery had to do it in front of witnesses before they can be stoned to death.

Some argue that people can confess or witness their own crimes.

This is actually arguable in the Hebrew. Essentially the language states that the witness and the accused are different individuals.

So, unless you and someone else actually catch two people committing adultery and you are both willing to testify against them in front of the congregation there can be no Godly punishment.

There is no other punishment for "perceived" adultery. I have not found a passage that allows punishment of a woman for having a child out of wed lock. The child cannot enter into the Temple in Jerusalem, but, I can't find any other punishment.

There are a lot of "suggestive" ideas in the Bible and a lot of commands.

The most important commands in my opinion are:

You are forgiven as you forgive.

So if you don't forgive people, if you demand they be punished for what you believe they have done wrong then you must be punished for what others believe you have done wrong even if you do not believe you have done anything wrong.

Love others as you love yourself.

Not better than yourself. Not worse than yourself. Treat others the way you treat yourself. Feed them as you feed yourself. Clothe them as you clothe yourself. Love them as you love yourself.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart

Don't add your own ideas to the Lord God's commands because when you do your prove that you love yourself more than God.

Health Care, Unemployment, Welfare and Importing Resources

People are an economic resource.

If you do not take care of and use your economic resources your economy cannot expand. Period.

The argument about health care is a lot like the argument about oil drilling in Alaska or other locations.

You either take care of and use your economic resources or you don't.

People, land, oil or money in the bank. These things are only useful if you use them.

If you don't spend any money the money is as useless as if you don't own it. If you invest money, buy a company for example or some stock, you are using the money effectively. If you put money in the bank you give permission for the bank to lend it out to others. The money in the bank is useful because you are using it.

If you bury your money in the ground or shove it in your mattress it becomes useless.

Oil is the same way. In the ground it is useless.

People too, people who are not producing are useless. Worse, people who are not producing are a drain on the system.

We all know there are times when we are busy and times when we are not. Typically we do not manage our resources well during the times we are not busy.

Suppose you had a car that you drove every day for several years. One day you stop driving it and you put in in the garage. If you maintain that car while it is in the garage, charge the battery, etc, the car will work when you need it. If you don't maintain it the car will not work when you need it and you will have to get a new car and incur the costs associated with storing or recycling the old car.

People are the same way. We either maintain them, keep them sheltered, fed, clothed and healthy OR we live them to rot until we need them and when we need them they are not ready to be used so we have to import workers from other nations.

Then those workers get to a point where they are not useful right now so we repeat the cycle.

Essentially management blames the workers for not working when management (government) can't provide anything for them to do.

By importing long term labor to manage short term labor needs we are creating a long term burden on our society.

President Bush tried to address this very issue with a temporary worker visa. The problem is that once people are in the US they will typically stay. The temporary worker visa is a poor attempt at the solution because it ignores the resources currently available.

We need to give people the opportunity to work. The United States is a free nation. You are free to succeed, you should be free to starve. You should also be able to work at community service centers where you are put to work and if you need specific services you can get them, money, food, health care, etc.

The problem then becomes people treating each other like crap, the haves and have nots. If you are working at a community service center you are a have not and some of the bureaucrats will treat you like crap just because they can. It is this kind of "I can treat you like crap" that resulted in laws for civil rights and people still ignore those laws and treat each other like crap.

We have to retrain people to accept that everyone is just as important as everyone else. There are no people who are better than other people.

Today we just leave people to rot in poverty because we can't train people to treat each other decently and we don't want to make community service a condition of receiving social services.

Law Abiding Citizen: The Movie

I'm an engineer. A manufacturing engineer. Not a mechanical engineer or an electrical engineer.

I went to see Law Abiding Citizen tonight. The movie was great right up until the end.

Any moron can run out to K-Mart and pick up a car alarm that will go off when you try and move the car. If you bump it even.

The premise of the movie is that a super genius that designed fool proof killing systems for the CIA has his family murdered in a home invasion by a psycho.

The District Attorney makes a deal with the real killer so the accomplice will get the death penalty.

This pisses off the super genius so much that he spends ten years planning his revenge against the system.

When he puts his plan into action he first murders the people who killed his wife and child. Then he goes after all of the lawyers and judges involved.

The guy does all kinds of super genius stuff during the movie.

At the end the DA moves a bomb from city hall to the geniuses lair and the genius blows himself up.

Because he wasn't smart enough to put a simple car alarm system from K-Mart into his bomb.

I could design a box that would set off a siren if you drilled a hole into it, if you made it cold, if you made it hot, if you moved it, if you even came close to it. I can do all this with off the shelf stuff that I can buy at K-Mart. Thermostats. Tire pressure sensors. Car Alarms. All really simple stuff.

I liked this movie right up until the super genius CIA engineer was dumber than the guy who installs car alarms at Best Buy. Then it was super lame.

I give Law Abiding Citizen 5 farts for being disgustingly stupid.

$119.00 for a wine glass

I like wine. I am no connoisseur. I just enjoy a glass of red wine in the evening after dinner.

I have a couple of decanters I purchased at the Dollar plus store, a fancy corkscrew gadget I purchased at Costco for $10 bucks (they raised the price to $20 last time I saw it), some wine glass I bought at Ikea, this vacuum pump thing with rubber stoppers that really does help keep a bottle of wine for a few days and this gadget called an aerator that really rocks.

All in all I spent less than $100 dollars on my wine gadgetry. My wife figures I over spent, but, she enjoys the taste of wine after I run it through the aerator so she does not mind.

Tonight I went looking at wine glasses. I just wanted to figure out why there are so many different kinds of glasses and how they might make the wine taste differently.

Essentially I think glasses are a bunch of horse crap. Buy a set of wine glasses and enjoy them, but, it is always worth reading.

Reading.

I ain't spending $119.00 on a single wine glass.

I bought a set of 4 Waterford crystal wine glasses for a friend for Christmas. I don't mind spending money on stuff for people.

I just ain't spending $119.00 bucks on wine glasses. I will take a drive to Ikea and buy some different wine glasses and test them out. I have a couple of different style and I will test those.

There is this really kewl thing you can buy at the University of California Davis bookstore called the aroma wheel that I think rocks. It helps you train yourself to identify different flavors in the wine.

There are also some pretty expensive kits of stuff to do the same thing.

I like wine. I don't mind spending $20, maybe even the occasional $30 on a bottle of wine.

$119.00 on a glass. Not this high school drop out. I guess I am just too stupid to spend that much money on something I can buy for a buck or two.

Persistence

Nothing in the world can take the place of Persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ?Press On? has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
- Calvin Coolidge

The question is always who will be more persistent. Those who persist will succeed.

Is that true?

Essentially yes. The problem occurs when there is a disagreement about the feasibility of the process.

For example, Thomas Edison persisted in his work to find an economical light bulb that would last long enough to be of value and be strong enough to withstand shipment after testing.

Many scientists knew that passing electricity through a material would cause the material to glow.

Finding an economical material that would withstand shipping from the factory to the point of use and would last long enough to be of perceived value to the consumer was the problem.

Thomas Edison did not phrase it exactly like that though. :-)

In the end, it is always obvious that the solution existed.

Along the way you can bet that people argued about IF a material existed that would be both robust enough to ship, give enough light and be inexpensive enough that the consumer would find value in the purchase.

Thomas Edison believed the material existed.

Many other, very intelligent, very educated scientists abandoned the search because they had decided the material did not exist OR because investors decided that finding the material was so expensive that the return on investment would be minimal.

Thomas Edison was right. Thomas Edison's investors were right. The people who argued against "staying the course", persisting, were wrong.

Those who failed to persist lost money. Those who were persisting, BUT, did not discover the "best" material before Thomas Edison did are forgotten.

What if the job really is impossible?

President Bush was a big believer in persistence. The average person does not persist, which is why so few people achieve difficult projects. The average person will quit after trying so much.

Exactly how much is dependent on the person. Some people will try a "lot", some a "little", some will perceive one person's "lot" as a "little" and others perceive the "little" as a "lot".

Getting people to agree on what is possible is difficult. Getting people to agree on what is impossible is much easier.

Bad leaders will always default to impossibilities because so many people believe in the impossible.

Great leaders will tackle impossibilities and make them possible.

It is easier to say "Flying is impossible" than it is to build the first airplane.

I would rather persist in the face of failure than quit and believe in impossibility.

Obama is a quitter who believes in impossibility and he has built his possibilities on deriding those who persist and whom the quitting majority laugh at.

AT&T Sucks

When cell systems were developed industry had to develop a priority system to make sure that first responders and national security (politicians and their significant others) had priority access and could get calls through during peak usage times.

TDMA and original CDMA technologies did have this prioritization technology.

GSM, Iden and current CDMA do use a prioritization technology.

So why does AT&T suck?

Simple, essentially when a different phone company leases use of one phone companies towers the users are both in the same technical priority group.

But AT&T has a problem, 3G networks and the iPhone.

To keep primary customers happy AT&T has resorted to prioritizing their customers over their competitions customers in violation of FCC regulations.

Why?

Because the data connectivity of AT&T customers is clogging the system. If AT&T gives the same priority to T-Mobile that it gives to AT&T the AT&T customers would get a reduced level of service so AT&T prioritizes their customers communications over the competition which means if you are using a non-AT&T system, or even a pay-as-you-go AT&T system, you are hosed when you live in an area where AT&T controls access.

These guys were busted up once for unfair business practices and here we are again, forty years later and the morons are doing the same thing over again with a new technology.

Total morons.

I would watch the news, sooner or later the evidence is going to surface that AT&T is taking advantage of the Priority Access Dialing and the Cellular Priority Access System to improve their profits at consumer expense.

When that hits I would short sell AT&T (long term) and buy stock in competitors since AT&T is headed for another break-up and this second time around time people are going to be so pissed that the name AT&T will probably be outlawed.

You can't fix stupid and morons never learn.

Popular authors determining US political policy

As amazing as this sounds the worst of the propaganda distributed to the world is not in the form of news papers, television shows or internet blogs.

The worst is in the form of books.

Many people in this world prize books. Among many there is a reverence for books and the "knowledge" they contain. This is especially true among the pseudo intellectual crowd.

Books like Chariots of the Gods become reference tools for the next generation of pseudo intellectuals building their propagandized non-knowledge.

Today our Commander in Chief is reading tripe about how the military and the military industrial complex plunged us into Vietnam without understanding what the goals were and how to win the war.

This is a common propaganda.

Military commanders do not start wars. Politicians do. If military commanders and business leaders provided influence to engage in the Viet Nam conflict there is no evidence of it.

Essentially the very idea is really the politicians of the age refusing to take responsibility and blaming their problems on some huge mili-wing conspiracy.

Total tripe, but, the uneducated proletariat fall for this tripe and tomorrow they will be using it as a reference tool just as Chariots of the Gods has become a reference.

Sometimes propaganda and stupidity make me physically sick and knowing that Obama could base his policy decisions on a book that makes as much sense as believing the Illuminati are controlling the world financial markets or aliens crew big pictures in the ground is one of those times.

Google Gadgets, Hot Air and News

I just deleted Hot Air from my iGoogle.

I have been reading Hot Air since it started. The columns are not bad, but they are not that good either and they don't let you post comments unless you know someone. Hot Air claims they only open registration occasionally but I have been a regular reader for the last couple of years and have never seen registration opened.

But my post is not about Hot Air, it is about iGoogle gadgets. I love them.

Getting rid of Hot Air was as easy as deleting my iGoogle gadget. No more outrageous and poorly researched articles, Hot Air has gone the way of CNN, the AP and Reuters. All crud news services that I have deleted because of over propagandizing issues and failing to report accurately and objectively.

Looking at my iGoogle I have Car and Driver, Fox News (becoming a terrible propaganda machine and likely to go soon....), Bodybuilding.com, The Wall Street Journal and the BBC still informing me on important events.

So what will I do when I kick Fox news from my iGoogle for being a propagandist and inaccurate yellow sheet? I will run a search and install a new gadget.

Simple as that.

For some reason the majority of news service managers believe that to make money and gain readership they have to become propagandist and inaccurate. I believe this is why so many news organizations are going out of business.

These morons are focusing on the small vocal minority that read their garbage and leaving the rest of us without news.

Prado. 80% comes from 20%. News services are focusing on propagandizing for that 20% and the rest of us are hunting for good news sources.

Thank God for Google Gadgets because they make getting rid of propaganda and testing out a new information source only a mouse click away.

Sure, the 80-20 rule applies and I will only really like and get 80% of my information from about 20% of the gadgets.

That is okay, The world is not going any where and I can catch up on anything I miss in the first 5 minutes of the story.

P.S. Readers unfamiliar with me might not recognize the sarcasm in my last sentence. The world is not going anywhere AND no one can understand any issue watching 5 minutes of any story. It takes multiple presentations from multiple sources as well as returning to original informational source material.

The New American Fasicst

The term fascist was defined by a young communist name Mussolini around the turn of the twentieth century. Karl Marx had determined, and written in his famous Communist Manifesto, that the people or proletariat would never shrug off the shackles of capitalism on their own. Unselfish leaders had to lead the people in a revolution and then force them into communism. Mussolini defined the communist period between revolution and the withering away of the state as the Fascism.

Fascism shares its word root with words like Fact and Feces. Essentially it means to make or force a group or bundle.

Mussolini and his good friend, the leader of the National Socialist German Workers Party (NAZI party and Adolph Hitler), worked very hard to force the world into prosperity and communism. Fortunately for everyone they failed.

Fascists want to make people into something. They are not interested with freedoms that do not agree with their ideology.

Freedom of Religion is acceptable, as long as the religion is whatever the State or Fascists believe it should be.

Accepting people for who they are is great, as long as they fit into the profile that the State or Fascists believe they should fit into.

My nephew once wrote a tirade against religion closing it with ?question everything and accept people for who they are? statement. His wife explained to me that any mention of religion or God was very offensive to them.

Neither of these people questions the idea that they have the right to be free from being offended by ideas that they do not approve of.

They are Socialists and perfect examples of New American Fascists.

Of course they do not consider themselves to be Fascists, they are just exercising their ?Freedom From Being Offended? by attacking and suppressing the ideas and the people they do not agree with.

Freedom Of Speech does not come with a Freedom From Offense. In fact the Freedom to do anything insures that someone will be offended and discriminate against you because of that offense.

Are you religious in some way? Christian, Jewish, Islamic? You will offend fascists and they will call you mentally ill for your belief in a higher power.

Are you a Democrat? People aware of the genocidal history of the Democratic Party in the United States will be offended that you can support a political party responsible for the deaths of millions of people. Fascists will do everything they can to humiliate and degrade you for your supporting a genocidal political party.

Are you White, Black, Indian, Asian, Purple? Your race will offend fascists and they will call you derogatory names.

Your freedom to express who you are will offend fascists.

You will be discriminated against when you offend people.

Yes, it is wrong for people to try and force you into a racial, religious or ideological box. It does not matter what box that is. Different Fascists have different boxes.

The one thing all fascists have in common is their firm belief that they are right and they have the Responsibility to eliminate those who are wrong.

I am an Anti-Democrat. I will be an Anti-Democrat forever. I am an Anti-Nazi. I will be Anti-Nazi forever. I am Anti-Fascist and Anti many other things. I am not going to change my core beliefs.

I am Pro-Choice and Pro-Freedom of Speech (even if I disagree) and Pro-Freedom of Religion and Pro-Freedom of the Press.

I would rather die supporting my nephew?s right to express his fascist viewpoint than suppress his ideology. Not because he is right. In my opinion his beliefs are every bit as delusional and sick as Hitler?s and Mussolini?s. In my opinion if we do not have the right to express ideas that are offensive as fascism we have no rights at all.

I do not degrade people I disagree with. I express my opinion on their support of genocidal political parties or fascist ideologies. I hope that someday people stop supporting genocide and fascism but I am a realist.

Fascists will never believe that they are evil even when confronted and shown how hateful and disgusting their ideology is. Fascists will always blame the messenger for their ?sick? ideas.

How do you know you are a fascist?

Are you suppressing, humiliating or degrading groups of people for their ideologies?

If the answer is no, you are not a fascist you are just expressing an opinion.

Sometimes the line between sarcasm and degradation can be blurred. You have to look at your intentions.

Were you trying to degrade a group based on their race, religion or ideology? Change what you are doing.

Were you trying to help people understand how outrageous, bigoted or fascist their ideology was? You will offend some people all of the time.

Racism

Racism, 1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.

Accusations of racism against a general group are racist comments.

Duh.

Let me make this really simple for dunderheads like Jimmy Carter.

When you make statements against a group based on their race you are making a racist statement.

"Blacks love watermelon" is a racist statement.

"People who oppose Obama's health care plan are racist" IS a racist statement.

Can we please either educate the proletariat or our elected leaders?

Oh yeah, the Dems are in charge and that means the likelyhood of educating people has dropped to ZERO.

You can't convince an educated person to vote for you by making hypocritical statements like "People who oppose Obama's policies are racist" so the Dems have to keep the proletariat as uneducated and dependent on them as possible.

High Protein meal replacement shakes

There is a researcher named Dr. Mary Gannon who has published numerous studies at NIH.GOV on high protein diets. Her research is excellent and as a result organizations like the Joslin Diabetes Center at Harvard have adopted high protein diets based on her research. You can find out more by Googling “mary gannon protein site:nih.gov”.

Don't confuse Joslin at Providence in Novi MI or other diabetic education centers with Joslin at Harvard, they may be related but I attended a class at Providence and the person teaching contradicted Joslin Harvard. During that less than helpful class I learned that high cortisol does not cause diabetes and that high cortisol is only caused by fear, I learned that consuming fat in your diet has no effect on your blood sugar, that high protein diets are very bad for diabetics and that you should never replace a meal with a meal replacement drink.

You can research everything I am about to write in contradiction to the ridiculous blather I learned at the Joslin Diabetic Center at Providence in Novi Michigan.

Cortisol is a necessary hormone that your body produces. High cortisol levels are caused by extreme physical exertion or extreme emotional states such as (in my case) grief. Essentially saying that high cortisol is caused by fear is saying that all physical and emotional stress is caused by fear.

Fat does contribute to your blood sugar level. Fat takes longer to digest so if you eat a very fatty meal your blood sugar might take hours to increase. Eating a lot of fat over a long period of time will cause an overall increase in blood sugar that can be very hard to control or understand since most diabetics are told to check their blood sugar 2 hours after eating.

A meal high in fat and protein (Atkins) will have a very small immediate impact on blood sugar and and a larger longer term impact.

Mary Gannon has published numerous studies at NIH.GOV proving that high protein diets are beneficial to diabetics and any properly trained and educated person involved in diabetic education already knows this.

The Joslin Diabetes Center at Harvard has been conducting a study with high protein meal replacement drinks and found them useful in helping diabetics control their blood sugar and weight.

So we have discovered two things;

First, that a lot of the diabetic education out there really sucks even if you get it from someplace you believe is a reliable source.
Second, that high protein diets and meal replacement shakes can help you control your blood sugar and weight.

I have been taking phosphatidylserine to lower my cortisol and the results have been amazing, I am losing weight at a very steady rate, over 35 pounds so far.

For years I have been drinking protein shakes. I drank a lot of them when I lifted weights. I found them to be quick meals that kept me satisfied when I was working or busy. Some people reach for candy bars, I reach for a shaker bottle.

I was pretty surprised when I gained a lot of weight over a short period of time after my son died. Now I understand that even though my diet did not change much, my physiology changed, probably because my cortisol level sky rocketed.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to it for about five years and then I started working at losing the weight. I spent 6 months working out with weights for 45 minutes to an hour 3 days a week and using a tread mill 30 minutes a day 6 days a week. I reduced my calorie intake to under 2000 calories a day. At the time I was working half at a desk and half on the shop floor about 10 hours per day 5 days per week. Using the metabolic information at Cancer.gov I was burning around 4,000 calories a day without the workout. I didn't lose pound one. My doctor was useless. I dropped the diet and went back to my normal about 3,000 calories a day. On a feast day like Christmas I (and many others) eat about 4,000 calories a day.

It took me another five years to find out about cortisol, mostly because I never believed in medical reasons for weight gain. I figured if you were fat you had to eat a lot and do very little. Pretty simple.

Not so simple, as I found out. There are actually conditions that make it almost impossible to lose weight.

Protein in liquid format, like protein shakes, digests faster and less of the protein is digested, typically between 50% and 75% of the protein from a shake is metabolized in your system during digestion. The human body is designed to metabolize fats and proteins from solids, not liquids which is one reason meal replacement shakes help people lose weight.

Something I discovered from reading the South Beach diet is that Metamucil will decrease the glycemic index of foods. Essentially this means that it makes foods digest slowly. The higher the index, the faster food digests and the more it impacts your blood sugar.

Because of what I read I started drinking a metamucil with my protein drink. You can mix them, I typically get orange metamucil and chocolate protein. I wouldn't mix them if I had other flavors and I typically do not mix them. Drinking the two together makes me feel stuffed.

I noticed that if I wait a few minutes between the metamucil and the protein it had a different impact on my blood sugar. I believe that the metamucil forced the protein drink to take longer to digest.

I would not drink metamucil right before or right after a work out, but, I would drink a metamucil with a protein drink when I want the protein to take longer to digest so that the absorption of protein is maximized.

If you can wait a few minutes I believe you should since it takes up to about 15 minutes for the metamucil to get into the digestive system. If you eat or drink before the 15 minutes (about) you are just mixing them in your stomach. If you are like me there probably won't be a lot of time between the two.

My suggestion for meal replacement shakes is a protein drink (you can get the protein at Costco or bodybuilding.com where I have found it is cheaper) and a metamucil. Drink the metamucil first, then drink the protein shake.

Using high protein drinks as a meal replacement can help you control your weight and your blood sugar.

Obama proves how clueless he is on issues once again

I'm Pro-Choice and anyone who reads my blogs or opinions which are plastered all over the internet knows it.

I am a Christian. God is pro-choice, God invented choice. God gave us rules to cover how to decide the punishment for causing a woman to "lose her fruit" and I believe we need to abide by those rules, and the United States has. That does not make abortion ok and it does not mean that people who have, help or commit abortions miss out on discussing this issue with God on judgment day.

Obama tells us "violence is never the answer". What this dunce in the oval office does not understand is that people who oppose the "murder of innocent children", commonly known as abortion, believe that violence is being done to these children.

Statements like this by Obama only prove how totally clueless about the issues Obama is. The guy in the white house is a total moron and he needs to resign.

Behind every great invention there is a guy like me

Tonight I am covered in the grinding dust from working on an intermetalic ceramic. The company I work for came up with a bleeding edge design for a new type of armor. No, it isn't my project. I'm just the guy who is going to make the process work.

That means climbing up on a machine in and grinding away at an intermetalic ceramic held at 450 degrees Fahrenheit with a Dewalt 4 and a half inch grinder.

Why you ask? because someone else made a mistake.

The problem with new technology is that it is new and no one has ever done it before. This kind of technology takes teamwork between people with ideas and people like me with the experience to make those ideas work.

There are three kinds of people for the purposes of this blog. Stupid people who repeat their mistakes. Smart people who make mistakes and learn from them. Brilliant people who learn from the mistakes of others and apply that knowledge to their own lives.

I work with smart people that seem to love making their own mistakes and learning from them.

Even if I tell them why what they are doing won't work this technology is new and we don't know it won't work.

Yeah, well, there is that idea.

Thing is, just about every idea (including this one) is just improving on something else that someone else has done before and we can look at similar things that people have done before.

Here is an example.

There are a couple of popular manufacturers of kitchenware, Revereware and Farberware. These guys figured out a long time ago that they had to bond stainless with a heat conductive metal to provide a consistent heat on the bottom of their pans.

We built a hot plate for our new product from stainless and I tried to explain that we needed a conductor between the source and the stainless. Not that I am some doctor of engineering, but, I have cooked in an actual kitchen before.

Yeah, just because there are millions of hours of testing and proved processes does not mean that the information Revereware and Farberware worked out fifty years ago applies to what we are doing.

No one has ever done what we are doing before.

The difference is that I know I am not any smarter than the last thousand people before me even though I have a genius IQ and some of the people I work with think they are.

Oh well, soon I will be grinding again and this will eventually work and the world will be a better place because of it.

Because of some guy like me who can apply knowledge and is willing to make it work.

Not that guys like me ever become the hero and that is okay. In the end it means more that I solved problems that made things work than it means to get the credit.

The credit is in the accomplishment, not the recognition.

Still, I wish people would stop and remember that they are not really any smarter than the last thousand people before them. It would make life easier for everyone.

Fascists demand blood!

One of the things that defines a fascist in my eyes is their desire to hurt or destroy those that they disagree with.

During the Bush Administration CIA officers and contractors used guidelines set by the Attorney Generals office to interrogate suspects.

In my youth I was not known for my kindness or my pursuit of legal endeavours. Having been "interrogated" by both military and civilian police in my youth and having read the accounts of interrogation by the CIA I can tell you that the police who have interrogated me are far more guilty of torture than any CIA officer.

Once I was taken to a hospital by police, strapped between two stretchers and beaten. When they felt they had beaten me enough on one side they flipped me over and beat me on the other. While they were beating me I chewed through the gag and told the police what a great job they had done gagging me, in rather colourful language. A doctor came in and rescued me or I might have died. I filed a report. I had witnesses. Nothing happened.

Being blessed by Christ and saved I look back and regret calling the police who tied me up and beat on me a bunch of fucking cowardly pigs. I also forgive them for the actions they took against me and the lies they undoubtedly told to save their own asses.

I do not recall any thing like that being done to any of the "detainees" and yet instead of looking internally to the way police behave within the boundaries of the United States President Obama is having a beer with a cop who obviously arrested a friend of his for being a black man who didn't know his place.

Talk about hypocrisy.

Not all cops are scum, and most of the ones who do scummy things are not scum all the time. The problem is we don't hold them accountable for being scum when they are.

Cops have a difficult position, just as CIA officers and contractors do.

The State of Louisiana and the State of Kentucky were being sued by Janet Reno because of their treatment of juveniles. In the court paperwork there is a story about an inspection where one young girl, pregnant and with aids, was observed to be bruised. When she was taken aside and questioned about her injuries she explained that the corrections officers had beaten her and that she couldn't take it any more and just wanted to die.

The Bush admin dropped that lawsuit when they came into power.

In my opinion that was far less hypocritical than what the Obama administration is doing now.

If the laws are not clear enough we need to rewrite them.

I did not read one story of CIA interrogation that sounds anywhere near as disgusting as mine.

The Obama Administration needs to go after the scum bags IN our nation that are torturing people like the kid I used to be or the girl in the Louisiana Juvenile facility.

Until then those Demophyte hypocrites can kiss my ass.

The United States and Veterans and others

I served in the United States Army starting in 1978, went inactive reserve in 1981 after 38 months of active service and finished my inactive reserve in 1984.

Basically, veterans who served between 1977 and 1985 get very poor educational benefits and many of us had other benefits, like VA medical, taken away from us.

The United States has always found excuses to screw their veterans and they always will.

Back in 1932 President Hoover (R) had a cavalry unit attack a group of WW1 veterans and their families who marched to Washington demanding their veterans benefits. Patton actually saber whipped a veteran who had saved Patton's life during WW1. People, children, were killed during this attack. The veterans were called socialists for demanding that the United States government fulfill its promises. Search "Bonus March"

The United States governments failure to keep its promises and live up to its treaties is notorious world wide.

The French sided with the fledgling United States during the American Revolution. Without the French assistance the United States would never have been created.

The United States saved the French in two World Wars and took over the French disaster in Vietnam.

Today people do not remember that the United States and France share an interest in Liberty, throwing off the shackles of the monarchy, that other nations have only pretended.

The United States often forgets about its obligations or pretends it has no obligations.

Over the last several hundred years Native American Indians, African Americans, Chinese Americans, Veterans and almost every other ethnic or political group you can mention has been subjected to the failure of the United States to keep its promises.

Every administration more promises are made and broken and made and broken promises, its own promises and other administrations promises. Even promises that the United States has a legal obligation to fulfill.

This is the core reason the United States is so hated and disrespected in international circles.

The US cannot and never has lived up to its own standards either at home or in international policies.

The first step the United States government has to take is to admit the mistakes of the past, particularly the slave mongering, segregationist supporting Democrats.

Once we have admitted the mistakes, not keeping our word, we need to keep promises. Period. I don't care who makes them and how popular they are.

The promises we make are LAWS passed by Congress and signed by the President. These promises are reviewed by the Judiciary.

We need to keep our promises, to our people and to the rest of the world.

Economy Improving, Unemployment Way UP, Consumer Spending down!

This always kills me.

Economic data has been politicized in the Obama Administration to the point where they are claiming the recession that started after the democrats took congress has bottomed out.

Orders for durable goods are steeply down. Durable goods are the things that people typically use to make consumer goods. Essentially this means business think business down the road is going to be really bad.

Consumer confidence is way down and Unemployment is way up. This data supports the durable goods orders, people won't be buying stuff that businesses won't be making.

So what is up? Home sales typically go up in the spring and summer and with the 8K tax credit people are buying existing homes. Good thing too since Obama is trying to sell government bonds to a bloated market and that will push interest rates up.

Auto sales are up for July and probably August thanks to CARS. Morons who bought gas guzzlers are getting paid for their irresponsibility while responsible people are once again getting screwed by the demophytes.

The economy is tanking. Period.

I wish it weren't. You know what they do with engineers over 40, don't you? They shoot them. If you are not in marketing or management by 40 you will eventually get tanked, after all who needs experienced engineers when they have inexperienced college grads who make less money?

Welcome to the future, where your products are designed by inexperienced people with an academic background and very little understanding of the applications of their education.

Conservative Comentators and Freedom

Colin Powell had some advice, not what I would call good advice for the majority of people.

Colin Powell tells us not to get upset when cops treat us like crap, just wait until after it is over and then sue the jerk.

I guess if you have deep pockets like the commentators at Hotair.com or Colin Powell that makes a lot of sense.

It loses the rest of us that don't have deep enough pockets to pay an attorney to file a lawsuit against a government that is making us pay to defend them from treating us like crap.

Suppose you get treated like crap by a cop. Suppose the lawsuit is worth a million dollars. Suppose you can get 4% interest. The government, or a corporation or anyone with deep pockets, can pay some lawyer 40 grand a year just to delay the proceedings forever.

Not a big deal to morons with deep pockets. A really big deal for the rest of us.

My bottom line is, and always will be no matter how many police state supporting idiots come up with other policies, Cops should be able to defend an arrest in front of a jury beyond a reasonable doubt.

If a cop cannot prove an arrest was necessary beyond a reasonable doubt, without the courts giving the cop more credibility than any other citizen, then the cop should be charged with violations of civil rights. Period.

Cops should be at least as afraid of violating someones rights as any individual is of being arrested by some cop having a crap day.

Breaking News from MSNBC: Flash Pretty Women can't be smart!

An Anchor on MSNBC mused that Sarah Palin was popular because she is "hot".

First, I really don't think Sarah Palin is "hot". Michelle Phifer is hot. There are a lot of women who are hot, Sarah Palin does not make my "hot" list. She is pretty though.

So aside from having totally different tastes in women what does this comment mean, at least to me?

In my opinion the comment proves that this moronic MSNBC Anchor thinks pretty women can't be intelligent and competent.

I dated a woman with really big breasts once. I mean really big, huge. She was over weight, but, the rest of her body was pretty much in proportion to her breasts. She was tall too, so she was a big woman. We talked about weight once and she explained that she was happier being proportionate than she was when she was thinner.

Last I heard, about ten years ago, she had gone through a breast reduction and she had lost weight to become her idea of proportionate.

I didn't think of her as being any prettier, more intelligent or more competent (she had a masters already).

As a society we have varying tastes in looks. Over time the societal idea of beauty changes and we can see that by looking at sexual icons of the last one hundred years.

As a society we tend to choose the better looking person if we believe the competence and intelligence levels are the same.

Barney Frank is evidence that ugly people can achieve positions of power and authority, at least in my opinion. I am sure there are some people out there who think Barney Frank is a hunk ;-) Liberal Demophytes have skewed ideas.

The idea that "pretty" or "hot" women can't be smart is offensive to me.

The idea that any person has to conform to societal pressures to look or dress in a specific way is offensive also, but, lets face it. Society has it's own bigotries and those are not going to change.

People who do not look "appropriate" to society in general will be shunned, long hair, pink hair, piercings, tattoos, etc. The "better" looking a person is the more likely the person is to succeed in our society.

Individuals are not society though, and we change society one person at a time.

Morons like this jerk at MSNBC need to become more tolerant of the way people look so we can develop a more tolerant society.

Lance Armstrong, Greg LeMond and people in general

I don't think of Lance Armstrong as a hero. Over the years Lance Armstrong has done some pretty despicable things that have been publicized and I am sure he has done rotten things that are not public.

I don't think of Greg LeMond as a hero either.

When you read about these two athletes there are pretty poor things about both of them. Both of them have achieved great things in cycling.

In my opinion neither of these men are heros. Neither of these men are saints. Neither of these guys are my first choice for a euchre partner on a Saturday night.

They are both great US cycling champions.

Of the two I think of Lance Armstrong as being the better cyclist, the more skilled cyclist.

In my opinion Greg LeMond comes across as being pretty bitter, but, having never met the man I really can't say.

I believe that Greg LeMond, Lance Armstrong and Floyd Landis are great US cyclists. Period.

So everyone. quit the damn whining and celebrate the wins.

Gates Arrest and Racism

Want to bet that if we carefully examine Crowley's record we can find a similar experience with a white guy where the white didn't end up in jail?

It would be harder to find because Crowley would probably not have even written a report about it.

Cops know that an arrest will be held against a person if they are later arrested for something different and as a result they only arrest people for tripe charges that they believe will be arrested again or that they want to embarrass.

Any cop telling you any different is just covering with a blue shield.

Gates was treated like crap and arrested because he was black and nothing anyone tells me will make me believe any different.

I don't care if Crowley were black. Racial profiling is something so ingrained in police work that it is impossible to separate the racial stereotypes from the racial profile.

Gates arrest is a perfect example of racial stereotyping. The black guy is arrested. Period.

If Obama were not a ball-less wonder he would point this corruption of police in the United States out to the world.

If a cop cannot prove to a jury that an arrest was necessary to preserve public safety the cop should be arrested and convicted of civil rights violations. Period.

Cops will whine and fascists will insist that holding cops accountable to the same standards as private citizens is ridiculous.

Cops should be at least as afraid of arresting innocent people as people are of being arrested.

Where the idea is that you always have to be polite to a cop no matter how the cop treats you, you live in a police state.

Team Astana Dominates Le Tour

The Tour de France is THE bicycle race. Sure, there are older well established races (The Catford Cycling Club Hill Climb, 1887) in the world. There are longer races like the Race Across America (about 3000 miles). There is no other race in the world that comes close to Le Tour.

This year Lance Armstrong took third place in Le Tour. Team Astana, the team both Lance Armstrong and Alberto Contador rode for, dominated the race from start to finish with the only dark spot in the team being the withdrawal of Levi Leipheimer after he broke his arm.

This is Lance Armstrong's first loss in Le Tour since his first win in 1999. Lance Armstrong is 37 years old and had he won he would have been the oldest man to ever win the tour. Older men do not win Le Tour because it is an incredible test of endurance, skill and strength. Of those three attributes older men can only lay claim to skill. Youthful riders claim the attributes of endurance and the strength and this years win by Alberto Contador proves this well known maxim once again.

For a 37 year old man to finish third in Le Tour is nothing to be ashamed of. Lance Armstrong was a long shot from the start. Had he won the same inconsistencies in the handling and evaluation of Floyd Landis's urine samples would have plagued Lance Armstrong. It has become obvious that the strained political relationship between France and the United States has taken it's toll on Le Tour officials to the detriment of Le Tour.

Floyd Landis is accused of having slightly elevated testosterone levels after completing stage 17 in the 2006 Le Tour. There are well documented inconsistencies in the handling and evaluation of Floyd Landis's urine samples. The supposed reason that Floyd Landis was stripped of his title is that Le Tour officials did not believe a man who suffered such a debilitating injury could finish Le Tour without drugs.

Amazingly Le Tour has 21 stages and supposedly Floyd Landis completed them with a debilitating injury and the only day he took drugs was the day right after the injury. Imagine completing four difficult rides in excess of 100 miles without drugs, stage 18, 19, 20 and 21 with a debilitating injury.

Obviously he had to cheat, right?

If Lance Armstrong had won Le Tour the same logic would have applied to him and the same well documented inconsistencies in the handling and evaluation would have suddenly occurred.

Le Tour is the greatest bicycle race in the world and as such it has become a political football where riders are attacked because of the political beliefs of Le Tour officials.

It sucks, but, such is life. Le Tour will still be the greatest bicycle race and Lance Armstrong the greatest bicycle racer of all time.

Not because Lance Armstrong is the fastest, or the strongest, but because Lance Armstrong is the most skilled.

Watch Team Radio Shack next year and I bet Lance Armstrong goes for the win to become the oldest bicycle racer ever to take Le Tour.

Derrick Jansen and stupidity

Derek Jansen is a anarchist-environmentalist who advocates violence against ?CEO? types. Essentially he is just another fascist with a cause that he believes is righteous. I doubt if the guy picks up the pedal reflectors that fall off mountain bikes while he hikes the way I do. That would be productive, and it would make the world a better place. This guy writes books and propagandizes his fascist ideology.

There is something that Derrick Jansen and I agree on and that is pacifism is a bunch of tripe. Nature is violent. There are tornadoes, hurricanes, typhoons, lightening, thunder, earthquakes and asteroids raining down from the skies. Violence does accomplish something, very often a renewal. A direct quote from Derek Jansen is ?Violence is very effective.?

There is something that Derrick Jansen and I disagree on. Jansen thinks industrial civilization is inherently unsustainable. I think fascism is inherently unsustainable.

Fascism is the idea that people must be forced to follow specific ideologies, environmentalism, communism, democracy, religious ideology, whatever.

Derek Jansen thinks he can force ?CEOs? to relinquish their power using violence.

Horsecrap.

People have power because we as people give it to them. Period.

Even in fascist societies the population gives specific people power over them. When enough people get tired of the monarchy, dictatorship, democracy, whatever, they rebel and that form of government ends.

The majority of people have to agree to either:
1: Stand by and do nothing as violent acts are committed.
OR
2: Join one side or the other.

Take Iraq. The United States put together a political coalition of nations which supported military action in Iraq. A bunch of morons propagandized, ?well, they really are not actually fighting so it really isn't support.? Horsecrap again. Political support is often much more important than material support.

Any person with even a minimal understanding of Iraq's political history can tell you that after Saddam Hussein died Iraq would have turned into a political free for all, fighting between various factions and eventual disaster for the United States.

Iraq was already in the midst of a civil war being fought between the Kurds in the north and Saddam Hussein's regime. By removing Saddam Hussein the United States reduced the probability of future turmoil and made the world a safer place.

Morons, like the fascist Derek Jansen, figure they can twist words and make people believe that just because they are right they can force people to their ideology and it is not fascism. Fascisim becomes the other guy forcing people to his way, not the ?right people? forcing people to the ?right way?.

Stupid horsecrap.

There are times, like Iraq and Afghanistan where we have to fight. There are scumbags who want you dead for their own reasons and you have every right to defend yourself. Unfortunately it is always the majority that decides the course. Charismatic people can con the majority for a short time, the way Hitler did in Germany, but, those organizations always fall apart when the majority ceases supporting them. Sometimes, as in Rome, it takes a several hundred years for the elitist, intellectual fascists to be totally destroyed as they were in Rome. Usually the fall is much quicker.

The majority of people in the United States elected the moron Obama to the presidency. I often disagree with the majority.

I do not dispute that the majority always decides the direction of civilization.

Check out Jansen on You Tube if you want an understanding of what the new fascists are preaching.

Obama, what a loser

Just when I thought I could have the tiniest little bit of respect for our bone headed moron of a president he caves like an over cooked souffle.

I have opinions, I give a rats ass if anyone else agrees with me. I read and listen to other peoples opinions. Some I think are total crap and some I think are reasonable and I would bet not one of those opinionated people gives a rats ass if I agree with them.

I express my opinion and I educate myself on the opinions of others so that we can learn from each other. While I don't give a rats ass if you agree or disagree with me I do care if you and I exchange ideas and learn from each other.

So what did I learn from Obama, the flopping little fish out of water?

That he thinks cops who arrest people for no reason are stupid and that he caves at the slightest controversy.

Police should be afraid to arrest people. People should not be afraid of being arrested.

Some people are going to be pissed because I didn't put a qualifier in there. Tough.

The prisons are filled with innocent people, literally. Far more people who should never have been arrested are never prosecuted and they are released.

Cops and prosecutors will hold an arrest, no matter how unwarranted against a person. Cops have told me that it doesn't matter if the scum bag did what they are accused of, they did something at some time so they deserve to be arrested and stuck in jail.

No one is innocent.

So I have been told, by cops.

Instead of trying to take the United States away from a police state where a cop with a shit attitude can treat you like crap and then arrest you for no reason what so ever the flip-flopping moron in the white house hung his friend out to dry.

Cops everywhere will probably go beat some minority kid to death for no reason except to celebrate their latest police state victory.

As far as I am concerned, if a cop can't prove to a jury that an arrest was necessary beyond a reasonable doubt the cop should be charged with a civil rights violation.

Our dip stick president probably believes that too, but he is too cowardly to express his own opinion without crawling into a hole with his tail between his legs.

Gates was arrested for no good reason

The cops show up at your home, walk in and demand to see your identification. How do you react? "Oh gee officer, sure, no problem!"

Get real. Someone walks into your house uninvited and you get pissed off and demand that they leave, I don't care who it is.

In the United States cops do what they want without fear of repercussions. Police officers go to classes in how to make up "reasonable cause" for any action they want to take.

The cops arrested Gates because he was standing on his front porch yelling at them for walking into his house and treating him badly.

Gates deserves a medal for not shooting the trespassers. As far as I am concerned, someone with a gun walks into my house uninvited I should have the right to shoot them.

When we, as a society, are so afraid that we give police the right to arrest anyone for any trumped up reason we no longer have a free society. Police officers should face repercussions for arresting people.

The courts tend to side with police officers, the courts should favor the rights of the citizen until proved, PROVED, guilty.

Every time a cop arrests someone the cop should have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the arrest was necessary.

Yahoo, fascism and the web

Over the last fifteen years that I have been surfing web based providers have become more fascist and less supportive of the open exchange of information.

Fascism is based on two fundamental motivators, the desire for control and the fear that information will reduce the ability of the fascist to control others.

China, for example, fears that it's populace will be encouraged to develop ideas of their own and as a result has a rigid censorship program.

Amazon recently deleted purchased content from users Kindle systems.

The Democrats in the United States have consistently claimed to want to help minorities while they systematically destroy urban educational environments. This censorship of education is consistent with their historical political positions supporting slavery, segregation and genocide.

Over the last five years Yahoo has become more and more of a fascist organization and as a result Google has prospered.

Google has always had censorship. While the censorship at Yahoo was less than the censorship at Google Yahoo was useful. Over the last five years Yahoo has embraced fascist censorship.

For over a year I have been trying to delete my Yahoo account. Yahoo refuses to delete my account, probably because I have had it so long and they want to skew their statistics in favor of long term users. By refusing to delete older accounts Yahoo can skew statistical use of their website.

Like all fascism the fascism on the web will eventually fail.

Two thousand years ago Rome began sliding toward elitist fascism. Common people's opinions were ignored, they were supported by the state. Julius Caesar attempted to take Rome back to a time when the common person's opinion mattered and he was murdered by the elitists on the floor of the Roman Senate. The elitists in Rome censored information, twisting it to suit their ideology. The elitists stripped the military preferring to negotiate from a position of political and military weakness. Rome fell as its neighbors learned of its weakness and began doing less and less business.

Eventually the failure to support military action in Vietnam and the failure to respond militarily to the actions of Iran in the late 1970's will become the historical turning point in the fall of the United States and the beginning of a slide into fascism and eventual fall.

The fascism of the web service providers like Google and Yahoo will be major indicators. The fascism of the Obama administration will become the point at which the slide takes a steep downward trend into censorship and fascism.

How many fascists out there think that ?shutting up? people you and your friends disagreed with is just good for everyone. Fascists never think of themselves as fascists.

Even Saddam Hussein thought he was a good person.

Amazon joins the ranks of Fascist Censors

Amazon has determined that they have the right to delete information from electronic devices that they sold to you without your permission.

Throughout time progress has always depended on the open exchange of information. Any kind of progress.

Several thousand years ago people realized this and developed repositories where accumulations of data were stored and accessible.

Because there are a lot of fascists in this world these repositories were often made exclusive institutions where ordinary people were not allowed.

Democracy changed a lot of that. In societies with democratic governments a lot of information was made available to the general population. Not all information, much of the information was still censored by fascist censorship.

Sometimes this fascist censorship comes in the form of academic standing. Sometimes this fascist censorship comes in the form of National Security. Sometimes this fascist censorship comes in the form of greed.

People have a right to earn a living and the infrastructure to distribute information can cost money. This money has to come from somewhere.

Historically copying has been done on a cost vs ability to pay basis. Information was copied, either by hand or using a printing press or a copier and the cost of this copying process was born by the person wanting the copy.

The digital age has created something very different. A situation where copies cost almost nothing, pennies to create and pennies to distribute.

The entire cost of the information is in the development of the information. How much did it cost to develop the information, to edit and publish the information?

The greed of the internet age is creating a situation where people want to continue charging for the duplication and transportation even though these costs have been eliminated.

Because of the disconnect in price, demand and ability to produce there are fascists who are attempting to forcibly control the free market system in an attempt to improve their profits.

Every single time some moron, or morons, attempt to force a market to their will an uncontrolled black market develops.

This is just as true in information as it is with guns or drugs or prostitution.

To eliminate the black market the price of information has to come down to the point where people would rather pay for the information on the open market than on the black market.

Free Markets will always scare the crap out of fascists, greedy fascists or fanatical fascists, freedom always frightens fascists and fascists will always fight to censor those they disagree with, those they fear will convince others of the truth.

You can tell a fascist easily. A fascist will refuse access to information unless you meet their subjective and arbitrary criteria. If you fail to meet the subjective and arbitrary criteria of the fascist, the fascist will censor you.

Just like Amazon censored their customers.

British Coffins and Politics

The Wall Street Journal has an article worth reading.

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124761088935941809.html#mod=whats_news_free?mod=igoogle_wsj_gadgv1

The name of the article is "British Coffins Raise Ire over Afghan Push".

This is a good story about how people in the UK react to the deaths of their soldiers. The soldiers are moved from an airbase, through a town to a coroners office.

People line the streets to grieve the fallen.

This isn't a protest or a photo op for pro or anti war politicians.

It is just people honoring the fallen soldiers.

Don't I wish we could do that in the United States without some scumbag turning it into a political joke.

Another Democrat convicted of corruption

On July 14th former State Senator Vincent Fumo (D) was convicted of corruption.

Interestingly very few news articles mention the fact that this corrupt individual who used his position to steal millions is a Democrat.

After being convicted the Democrat had this to say:

"Judge, I never intended to steal. The last thing on my mind was taking money from anybody. I've never done that."

Of course the judge believed him so he only received 5 years in prison for his many years of corruption.

The Pro-Slavery party is the Party of Corruption.

Democrats attempt to re-write history, again. (will they ever live in reality?)

Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican. His father was a Republican.

So why do people believe that Dr. King was a Democrat or supported the Democrats?

In 1964 Barry Goldwater was selected as the Republican candidate for President. Goldwater had started a Planned Parenthood clinic with his wife. Goldwater embraced equal rights for homosexuals. These were issues that Dr. King stood firmly against, especially abortion.

Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics were originally started as Eugenics programs and Dr. King was well aware of this. Barry Goldwater, a long time supporter of equal rights for minorities and women, had not started the Planned Parenthood clinic for racist reasons and Dr. King knew this. Dr. King believed that organizations like Planned Parenthood supported the racist Eugenics agenda.

As a result Dr. King took a stand against Barry Goldwater and his position on Abortion and Gay Rights.

The uneducated masses don't understand these basic issues. The sheep don't understand they support the pro-slavery, pro-segregationist Democrats.

In their minds, as in the minds of pre-WW2 German's, they are supporting what is best for their nation and not some genocidal political party.

There is one big difference.

The NAZI party had not committed a genocide before.

The Democrats have caused at least two genocides in the United States, a genocide of Blacks and a genocide of Native Americans.

The sheep would rather live in a fantasy than face the genocidal truth that they support the pro-slavery political party.

Favorite trick of the pro-slavery democrats

Democrats have been hiring people to do crazy things for years. One of the most popular old, and well documented, tricks is to hire someone to get caught while defacing your campaign posters.

The vandal admits he was hired to deface the posters and everyone assumes it was someone on the opposite side.

This is the assumption everyone made during Watergate. Nixon tried to cover up the Watergate break in, but, there is still no evidence he had anything to do with the actual break in. Nixon and J Edgar Hover hated each other and there were two FBI agents involved in Watergate. One with the break in and one giving information to a couple of cub reporters.

Scooter Libby is doing time for lying even though there is no evidence Valerie Plame was ever a covert agent.

A woman is cut up during the Obama campaign and is charged with doing it herself.

An abortion activist disrupts a meeting.

I have to wonder about these things.

Sure, it sounds just like a bad Hollywood movie plot.

Who are some of the biggest supporters of the Pro-Slavery party? Those same idiots who think up those crazy Holly movie plots.

Me thinks I smell a rat in so many of these coincidences. Being an engineer I don't believe much in coincidences.

When the nuts thinking up conspiracy plots for dumb movies are supporting a candidate and crazy things that sound like bad movie plots are happening I really have to wonder.....

Breaking crap! Mysterious CIA program kept hidden!

The Obama administration is politicizing the intelligence services and creating fear in the minds of the sheep following the pro-slavery party.

Supposedly Dick Cheney directed the CIA to keep a program hidden from Congress.

But no one knows what the program is.

Because it is a secret.

But it isn't a secret because everyone knows there is a secret, even though no one knows what the secret is.

The BBC even reported this tripe secret that isn't a secret but no one knows what the secret is.

Leon Panetta blew this whistle so it either is secret or it is not secret.

Former CIA director Michael Hayden tells us there is no secret.

The CIA has more holes in it than a colander. You know what a colander is, it is the thing cooks use to drain pasta after boiling it.

The CIA is torturing people, the CIA isn't torturing people. The CIA is spying on people in the US, the CIA isn't spying on people in the US. There is proof, but there isn't.

For the last six years the CIA has been a political football with more holes in it than a colander.

Some moron writes a report, someone sends a Cheney aide to prison for lying, but, not for releasing the name of a covert CIA operative.

The only thing all this tripe proves to me is that:

US Intelligence gathering is being hampered by politicization of their operations.

The Slave Party is trying to make people fear their own government, just like they had slaves so afraid of the United States that slaves fought for the Confederacy.

Like any con artist the Slave Party is accusing their rivals of doing exactly what they themselves are doing.

The Dems took Congress in 2006, by the end of 2007 we were in a recession. Why? Because stability is important.

President Bush did everything he could to create stability in the United States. The Democrats have done everything to de-stabilize the United States.

The economy is based on political stability people. If you want change you are going to destabilize the economy.

The recession is going to last for years because the slave mongering Democrats are doing everything they can to destabilize politics in the United States with crap like this Mysterious CIA secret program.

When is it time to be afraid?

When the genocidal pro-slavery party is in control and the anti-slavery party is losing ground.

Cortisol and Phosphatidyl serine

A few weeks ago my doctor told me to start checking my blood sugar and to my surprise it was lowest before I went to bed and actually pretty high in the morning. The last few years my doctor has been after me to do a sleep study and I had already scheduled it when I found out about my strange blood sugar.

About a week before the sleep test I started taking Phosphatidyl serine. I did some research on the web and discovered that when your body over produces cortisol because of physiological stress caused by things like sleep apnea your blood pressure becomes uncontrollable, your blood sugar goes out of wack and you can't loose weight no matter what your diet or how much you exercise. These are three symptoms I have had for the last five years.

I googled "reduce cortisol" and found some really stupid pseudo science and several good articles. One of the dumber articles explained that all cortisol problems were caused by fear. That is total garbage, cortisol is caused by physiological stress which can be caused by things like over excercising. I suppose fear could drive someone to over exercise, but, in my experience desire is the motivator for exercise.

There were some good recommendations for reducing cortisol in the articles. Most of the better articles recommended a dietary supplement called phosphatidyl serine. I purchased a bottle of 60 100mg capsules and tested it. Without changing my diet or increasing my activity level at all I lost 7 pounds in a week. Within three days of taking the phosphatidyl serine my morning blood sugar dropped from 178 in the morning to 138. I have not had a morning blood sugar over 140 and typically it is between 110 and 120. My bedtime blood sugar is typically under 100. Over the last three weeks I have lost a total of 17 pounds going from 295 to 278 this morning.

Cortisol prevents your body from burning accumulated fat. Suppose you eat a light breakfast (500 calories or less), a light lunch (500 calories or less) and a heavier dinner (1000 calories). You are busy during the day so your body burns the calories from breakfast and lunch as it digests them, but, after dinner you are less busy and so your body does not burn all of the calories you ate as you digest them and instead your body converts them to fat.

The cortisol lowers your body?s metabolism to prevent fat burning. Since your body refuses to burn fat and you do not have any calories digesting your body actually begins starving itself. In fact, rather than burn fat your body will burn muscle if your cortisol levels are out of wack. You can eat a 2000 calorie a day diet and burn 2000 calories a day, if you don?t make the calories into multiple smaller meals you will gain weight and burn muscle, bone, etc. Your body will only burn fat as a very last resort IF you starve yourself.

So if your blood pressure begins to become uncontrollable, your blood sugar is lower at night than it is in the morning and you can?t lose weight even when you are following a good diet and/or exercising you should try taking an over the counter cortisol blocker like phosphatidyl serine. Phosphatidyl serine has no known side effects except lightening your wallet.

Dosages: The dosage you take is up to you. Some people take 100mg 3 times a day at meals. I am taking 300mg twice a day, 5am and 5pm. Some people recommend taking phosphatidyl serine right before you go to bed. Dosage recommendations run from 300mg a day to 1200mg a day. I am taking what is called a low therapeutic dose in one of the articles I read.

I will probably increase my dosage to 400mgs three times a day, 5am, 5pm and 10pm when I go to bed, around the end of July provided I am still getting the same results. I will also begin an exercise regime around the same time. Right now I am still in experiment mode. I want to keep things the same for a long enough time to know that I am not suddenly going to bounce back up to 295 again.

Addendum:

I found a new place to buy PS,

http://www.herbs-wholesale.com/PhosphatidylSerine-23926.html

You should constantly check for better prices. This place used to be more expensive. Just watch for labels like "Complex" or "Matrix". Taking 1000 grams of PS might be okay, but, if it is mixed in with 800 grams of other stuff and only 200 grams of PS, that 800 grams of other stuff might end up being bad for you. When you take supplement complexes it can be difficult to pin point the cause of any issues you have. READ LABELS!

Addendum 2:

http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU289/ItemDetail

I have not tried this brand yet, but, the price looks good. (I have tried this brand now and in my opinion it is crap. Supplement manufacturers are not held to content standards like drug manufacturers. I took this brand for two months and re-gained some of the weight I had lost taking NOW brand. My diet did not change, my activity level actually increased because my new employer has a great gym! buyer beware!).

Addendum 3:
One of the people commenting has pointed out that high Cortisol levels are often indicators of a tumor attaching itself to the adrenal gland or potential infections which can have a direct influence on the adrenal gland. This is all very true. Infections are typically noticed during normal blood work so doctors probably find these most of the time. Tumors around the adrenal gland are typically called Cushing’s disease. I am not sure that any of these fit me, although in spite of working out I have maintained my weight at 265-270 for a couple of years now. My abdominal muscle pad is now pushing out past my rib cage. It looks like I have a huge pot belly and when I tighten my ab muscles and let people feel they are surprised at how little fat there is.
